I was born in Victoria, but graduated from Industrial High School over in Vanderbilt. After high school I enrolled in Victoria College and finished there with an associates degree in criminal justice. After VC I transferred to Sam Houston State University in Huntsville and earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Following undergrad I then went to St. Mary's School of Law in San Antonio and received my Juris Doctor degree. After taking the Texas bar exam I became licensed to practice in Texas courts.
After passing the bar exam and becoming licensed I got a job as an Assistant District Attorney at the Victoria County District Attorney's Office. I spent over 3 years learning as much as I could about every type of criminal case, how cases are initiated, investigated and then prosecuted. I also spent 4 years as the Municipal Court Prosecutor for the City of Victoria . The experience I received in those positions is something I will never forget, and plays a huge role in my success as a criminal defense attorney.
That is the path I took to put myself in the position I am in to help people who are facing criminal charges. However, that path actually began when I was young and learning from my family to talk to and treat people all the same, regardless of where they come from, how much money they have, or their circumstances. Fortunately for me, the people who come talk to me appreciate being treated as such, so it makes stressful and difficult conversations easier to get through. Unfortunately for you, not everyone feels that way. But, my number is listed here on my site so all you have to do is give me call and we can chat about what you have going on. Hiring an attorney is a stressful event by itself, calling or coming in to consult with me will not be.
